Reginald L. Sewell, J.D., MBA

Background

Reginald is a commercial transactional attorney with over a decade of experience in global legal and business transactional matters.

Reginald earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Economics and Math from Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia in 2000. He returned to Texas the same year and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas, School of Law, Austin, Texas in 2003. While attending the University of Texas, he served as Assistant Editor of the Texas Journal of Business Law. Mr. Sewell was selected to participate in the inaugural legal associate program at Enron, where he supported numerous financial transactions within Enron Global Finance.

Upon graduating from the University of Texas, Reginald was asked to return to Enron’s Bankruptcy Estate to assist with unwinding and divesting certain risky assets held by special purpose entities created within Enron Global Finance pre-bankruptcy. In 2007 towards the end of the bankruptcy he decided to return to the classroom in Chicago at one of the most prestigious business schools in the world: The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mr. Sewell took full advantage of Booth’s academic rigor and global network by living, working, and studying in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Bangalore, India, while also working with the City of Chicago’s Legal Department managing bankruptcy and municipal bond matters. Reginald earned his MBA from Booth with concentrations in Finance and Strategy in September of 2009.

In 2010, Reginald again returned to Texas to resume his commercial law practice.

Reginald currently serves on the Board of the Dominion Community Development Corporation.
